Hey ya'll, here's my deal - I love doing this but I don't take it super seriously and there are definitely weeks where I dont' have time to even update my players who aren't playing much less read about their projected scoring! And what I think our commish is saying is that she would like this to be a more serious league. Which I totally get - but I'm not going to make a promise that I can't keep.
We lost two players - Tracy and Sally - and I haven't heard from the Lindsays. Here's who we have for sure:
Rae
Brighid
Lauren
Lauren
Alison
If we each get someone to do it with us (again, not on a serious tip) then we could have a league of 10 on yahoo! I'm sure Billy will do it with us and maybe you all have some partners at home who would be up for it? Do I hear Jake and Mike somewhere in the background?
We can rename it the sort of serious but not really FF league! Catchy right? :)
So ladies on the list above, let me know what you think and I'll get us started if you're in!

but the scoring is not accurate and I don't think Sally's was ever accurate from last week. Is it possible to take a look at it without entering each player we think may be off? the reason I ask that is that I can tell at least 2 of my players are off but it might be more.

So according to Billy my draft was just ok. He just about died over Brighid's and Tracy's tho. So I have decided that this is the year i conquer free agency!! Or at least use it occasionally.
I loved our draft and I loved the trip out to Keith and Jax's house. thank you so much for your hospitality and computer support!

Hey - just a thought... Can I get a head count of those who want to come back in 2011? And while you're answering, can you throw out any rule ideas you have for next year that we can mull over in the off season? I'm still trying to get my head around our ppr change so it would help me to have extra time to think about stuff.
I have one idea...
For the draft, the boys use a method for draft position that is based on your record from the prior year. I kind of like that idea. What do others think?

| I can't believe it's here already! Where did this season go? For me, this felt really quick this year. I hardly got any shit talking in and now it's almost over. Well... before we enter this last part of our third football season may I just say it continues to be so much fun to participate in this game! 1. Matt Forte. Greg Jennings. Total busts. Not to mention

Thanks to you and Keith for everything you have done this season! I've had so much fun. I didn't make the playoffs last year so I'm super excited to make them this year.
I had a meeting with my team this morning and they are pretty confident that the onehits are going to take the title. I seem to remember the phrase "sucka punk teams" being thrown around quite a bit ...but there was a lot of shouting going on so I may not have heard right!

hey! Couple of quick questions (crying baby right now).
1. Can we make it so all four new teams can draft any player for their franchise player (besides the other team's franchise players)? That way all four new teams get the same treatment. Otherwise two teams are kind of penalized/rewarded by their former team's rosters...
2. Is there a way to have an odd number of teams? We have some one who is kind of interested and I said I would check it out.

First of all, thanks to you Jacqueline for all your effort while you are sick! hope you feel better.
Second here's the deets:
my address and phone: 118 Estes Drive Ext. Carrboro, 27510 (919) 357-3157 Brown house, blue door.
parking: Any space along the front of our fence next to the road, the right side of the driveway or the parking area in the back -- just not on the left side of the parking area b/c that's my neighbor's spots.
Time: 7pm til? With 10 teams, it could get a little long but hopefully not past 11?
What to bring: a laptop and a drink you like to drink. We'll have food. We don't have wireless but last year we had some kind of router thingy and a bunch of cords so it worked out ok. And if you are embarrassed for us at how behind the times we are, let me tell you we also watch dvds through our playstation 2. What?
Who: Just so I know, let me know if you're coming or if you are going to do this thing remotely. If you're coming, please feel free to bring a coach, adviser, cheerleader, puppetmaster or otherwise involved personnel to the draft. Just let me know numbers.

Well, this year was a "no where to go but up" from type of year for the OneHits (we're no Detroit but still, 4-9 is no buenos). But congrats to the Piglettes for a killer season and good luck to you teams battling for playoff positions!!! This was $20 well spent in my opinion and I will look forward to doing this again next year. The only thing is that I think we should start planning our 2010 draft date way in advance so we can all make it! Also I know a bunch of ladies who want to join in next year so we may be able to have 12 teams in 2010!

Hey all,
Just wanted to remind you that the first game is tomorrow night (Thursday September 4) so I think you need to start your players before then to get points. I just logged in, went to my page, and clicked the boxes of the players I am going to start. There is a notice that says how many you need to start and everything so it is wicked easy. Thanks Keith!
Or you can just throw in the towel now because my one hit wonders are going to DOMINATE this season!

Hi all,
It looks like the 23 works for a lot of us. I am happy to host it at my house at 118 Estes Dr. Ext. carrboro.
The only thing is...
a) my internet connection is only available upstairs but I couldn't fit everyone upstairs so any online stuff may be problematic? Does anyone have a wireless internet laptop that can connect without a "hot spot" or whatever?
b) Billy is out of town that weekend so Keith would be on his own w/ a bunch of us who have never done this and have varying degrees of knowledge about football and football players...
Alternatively, how about Tuesday August 26? 7pm to midnight? Again, I'm happy to host. B will be in town but the internet thing may still be el-sucko.
I look forward to meeting all of you at some point!
