| Now that I have the Murray's Cheese Shop, we have several new items we make in the store. We are making a Jarlesberg cheese dip and a smoked Gouda cheese dip. I plan on bringing several containers of each and I am going to make my own cheese dip with Habanero Jack cheese. I figure we can get Keith and Eric drunk and dare them to see who can put the most in their mouth at once, like the good old UFC days and Dave's Insanity sauce. If I have time I might make a batch of chicken salad as well. Of course, the best cracker to enjoys these dips is Chicken in a Biscuit. |

| I would also like to point out that this is the first time I have been offered anything resembling a reasonable trade in Midgard. On second thought it might be the first actual trade I've been offered period. Hopefully this points to a new direction in the League. So before anyone starts criticizing the valuations, let's discuss why this League has been devoid of trade and interaction up until now. Perhaps I didn't make a great trade but at least I was willing to deal. That's more than I can say for the rest of y'all for a very long time. |

I need back-up at RB. If Ajayi is iffy I'm screwed. I have a solid WR corp, so I can afford to overpay, seeing as how the RB FA pool is fairly bleak. Is this the most advantageous trade I've ever made? No. But I feel like I patched a hole the best way I could under the circumstances. We shall see how it all plays out.
One thing is for sure. After this week there will be a clear leader in Midgard. Gl to all! |

They were on their way to their Draft Weekend shenanigans. I mentioned my kids live in Jersey and that I happen to participate in FF, too. And that the Bristol Vixens might not be half bad.
We talked teams and players and why you can't get a decent hot dog in a gas station around here.
As they left (with a nice tip, I might add), they pledged to raise a glass or twelve to the Vixens.

We had Austin Collie on our roster all day yesterday, but then this morning a trade we had offered went through, and now not only is he gone, but so are the points he scored for us. I do not understand how we can retroactively lose points like that. This is just one of many weird glitches we have experienced so far this season. We have had players we bid on in FA end up on our other team in Ragnarok, etc. Bids we placed in FA somehow just went poof.
Is anyone else experiencing these type of problems or is this just isolated to our team? In any case we would love an answer as to why this is happening and what we can do to help prevent it in the future. |

Something else to think about for next year

I am helping Alicia in Midgard, which is now a PPR league. While I think the scoring system there is perhaps extreme in giving a point to every reception, I am also seeing how TD dependant Ragnarok is.
For example, Wes Welker caught 12 passes for 93 yards. Pretty impressive day I would say, yet he still is dwarfed by a WR that caught 1 pass for 1 yard and a TD. Does this truly reflect the value of his contribution? Are freak TD catches more important than a solid over-all performance?
I am not advocating a straight PPR formula, but perhaps 1 pt. per every 2 catches? Sure we all love the home-run big play WR's, but aren't the possession WR's that get 1st downs also worthy of recognition? Or as Keyshawn put it, does it come down to spotlight vs. flashlight? |

After reviewing the stats for last year, it seems that DF score more than I thought. The Eagle scored 130 fantasy points last year, which puts them ahead of Tyler Thigpen, Matt Forte, and way ahead of the number one scorer in all other categories.
If any position is under-valued it has to be TEs. Not a single one broke the 100 point barrier, and this is a position that only starts one player per week like QB and DF. QB's roll in the points by comparison to any other position. |

| The current scoring system has pretty much neutered DF's so that only the top three or so are even really worth a roster slot. I've tried for years to argue that DF's should be worth more, but to no avail. |
