1/3 of the keg was still there after Friday's poker game and Saturday's draft?!?!?! Wow, I'm unimpressed.

Blast - Done, consider yourself officially graded down. There's always next year's draft.

Bunch - I can only think of a few things worse than having a kneepad clad Kent blow me. One is owning your squad. :)

Point 1: The concert and the jiggly 18 year old boobies were great.

Point 2 to Warrior Monks: Genius, I didn't even look at the week 1 rankings for this league. My opinions were formed from the rosters page alone which tell me pretty much all I need to know about your squad.

Welcome to this year and good luck...you're gonna need it.

Unbiased Draft Report Card
Since I wasn't able to attend the draft and berate your draft picks in person, here's the next best thing: Steve's Unbiased Draft Report Card for the 2005/2006 Ragnarok league!

THE BEST:

Maulers: A+

Wow. Talk about your perfect drafts. This team has a sick combination of starting talent AND depth at all positions. A team like this leaves one to wonder, "How drunk was the rest of the league before this draft started???"

Thunder: A-

Palmer and Collins are value QBs. Caddy and Fast Willie are value RBs and Shaun Alexander is a flat out stud. Combine that with TO, Steve Smith, and the Steelers D and you've got one heck of a team.

Hitmen: B+

The Hitmen have assembled a nice collection of players. The Manning brothers should be a solid QB combo and will have a ton of help if J-Lew can keep his nose clean. Chris Brown is the value RB of the year. Expect this team to go far.

Gamblers: B+

This solid team has one glaring weakness, QB. If Griese can perform consistantly throughout the season, the Gamblers could take this team deep into the playoffs (even WITH Tiki BarberFumble). How could you draft Mike Tice in good conscience, though?!?!

MAKING THE GRADE:

Dynasty: B-

Koo has assembled the best RB group in the league and managed to steal Torry Holt in the process. This, along with his ever-persistant ability to trade like a Ferengi should put the Dynasty in the playoffs, unless the aweful combination of Brooks/Brees/Boller can't post reasonable numbers.

Fowl Mouth Bass: B

Solid RBs with Deuce and Edge (who will be the best Fantasy player on IND this year, write it down) and a good WR corps should elevate last year's champs into the playoffs yet again. Then again, if there's any such thing as Karma, a DT with the numbers 99 will tear the ACL of all his players!

Skullsplitters: C+

The Skullsplitters have a tough road ahead of them. Frerotte is a value pick, but won't post consistent enough numbers in a run happy offense to put the team into playoff contention. At WR, this team has a lot of question marks. Any of the group of Burleson, Stallworth, Calico, Lelie, or Rogers could exceed expectations and could just as easily become waiver wire fodder. Overall, this is an above average draft that could have potential...or could be a one way ticket to the league cellar.

Bunch: C+

Before yesterday, I would have said that Favre/Pennington/Ramsey would be a solid QB combo, but after watching yesterday's fiasco where they combined for 7 Fumbles, 3 INTs, 0 TDs and a concussion, I'm not so sure. At least the Bunch have great WRs and an under-rated RB group. IF the QBs can get it together, this team might be in contention.

THE REST:

Warrior Monks: C

Reasonable talent at most positions, including a solid group of RBs should help overcome the lack of depth (and talent) at WR. By the way, who the hell is Greg Lewis and why on earth would anyone draft him???

Bruins: C-

Hopefully the Priest Holmes train will run all season. If not, the bruins will have a hard time making the playoffs. The loss of Javon Walker definitely hurts, but drafting Tommy "Rubber Arm" Maddox just makes you scratch your head. Two words for ya: Good luck!

Factor: C-

Great WRs and ONE (yes, one) starting RB make this a extremely unbalanced team. Maybe Vick can start at one of your RB spots? He's basically worthless as a QB. :) The bottom line here is that the Factor must hope his WR corps drags him kicking and screaming into the playoffs.

Blast: D+

Thin at WR and RB, the Blast looks to lean on Matt Hasslesuck, I mean Hasslebeck for the majority of his Fantasy Points. Wow, what a strategy...

Easiest Division?
As the league n00b, I'll reserve my judgement as to how 'easy' this division is until the season is over. Thankfully my boy Alexander finally decided to stroll into training camp and accept the paultry $8.5 million dollar tender. How a man can feed his family on that kind of salary is beyond me...
